Welcome to the blogsite for Digital CoPs and Robbers: Communities of Practice and the Transformation of Research, a six month project (Feb – Aug 2012) exploring the affect digital technologies have on the research process.

Digital CoPs and Robbers is being led by the Shakespeare Institute, University of Birmingham, and supported by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and the Royal Shakespeare Company. It is one of a number of projects being funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) as part of its Digital Transformations theme.

On this site you’ll find guest blogs and comments on the theme of digital technologies and research from various voices in a variety of communities of practice ranging from academia and digital creatives, to professionals from the arts and heritage sector. This discussion will culminate in a scoping report for the AHRC in August 2012 so please do have your say.
